About the TopGEOClaim service

These answers describe the process we offer, taken from our own pages. They are not customer results, not a completed baseline and not independent validation.

What does TopGEOClaim do?

TopGEOClaim checks how search and AI assistants treat your business today, fixes the gaps behind it, and re-tests so the change is on record. The work runs in four steps: baseline, diagnosis, fixes and re-test.

Conditions. This describes the service as published on the service page.

Not known. Pricing and how to enquire are not published yet.

Status. Describes our own published process. It is not a customer result and has not been independently tested.

Source (TopGEOClaim page, checked 2026-10-15): topgeoclaim.com/services/ai-visibility/

What is in the baseline?

The baseline is a written list of buyer questions for your market, agreed with you. They are run on each AI search tool under the same conditions, and the original answers are kept.

Conditions. The questions are agreed with the client before they are run.

Not known. The service page does not say how many questions a baseline holds.

Status. Describes our own published process. It is not a customer result and has not been independently tested.

Source (TopGEOClaim page, checked 2026-10-15): topgeoclaim.com/services/ai-visibility/

Does anything change on my site without my approval?

No. Fixes come as a short list of proposed changes, each with its reason. Nothing changes without your approval, and where we can, one change at a time.

Conditions. You choose which changes go ahead.

Not known. Who makes the changes (you, a developer you name, or access you grant) is agreed per client.

Status. Describes our own published process. It is not a customer result and has not been independently tested.

Source (TopGEOClaim page, checked 2026-10-15): topgeoclaim.com/services/ai-visibility/

How is a result measured?

Three separate measures: how often your business is named, how often it is recommended, and how often your own site is cited. Original answers are kept, so each number can be checked.

Conditions. AI answers vary. The change is reported with how sure we are of it, and we say when the data cannot tell.

Not known. The service page does not publish a result figure, and none is claimed here.

Status. Describes our own published process. It is not a customer result and has not been independently tested.

Source (TopGEOClaim page, checked 2026-10-15): topgeoclaim.com/services/ai-visibility/

Does TopGEOClaim promise results, and what does it cost?

Result commitments, where offered, are agreed in writing for each client: what is measured, over what period, and what happens if it is not met. Pricing is not published yet. TopGEOClaim does not use hidden text for AI, link buying or fake reviews, and does not give legal or compliance advice.

Conditions. Commitments are per client and in writing.

Not known. Pricing and standard commitment terms are not published yet.

Status. Describes our own published process. It is not a customer result and has not been independently tested.

Source (TopGEOClaim page, checked 2026-10-15): topgeoclaim.com/services/ai-visibility/

What does the guided diagnosis on this site do?

It asks four quick questions and gives you a starting checklist for where to look first, sample buyer questions to measure, and a brief you can keep. It does not query any AI tool, and nothing you type leaves the page.

Conditions. It is a rule-based starting point, not an audit and not a check of any AI answer.

Not known. The way to send the brief to us is not open yet.

Status. Describes our own published process. It is not a customer result and has not been independently tested.

What Google and OpenAI document for AI search

Which OpenAI crawler controls ChatGPT search, and which controls training?

OpenAI documents them as separate settings. OAI-SearchBot is the one for appearing in ChatGPT search. GPTBot is the one for content that may be used in training. A site can allow the first and disallow the second.

Conditions. Applies to what OpenAI documents on the read date. Your host or CDN can still block a crawler that robots.txt allows.

Not known. The page does not say how a site is chosen for a given answer.

Status. The cited source states this (read 2026-10-15). TopGEOClaim has not independently tested it for any site.

Does robots.txt control ChatGPT-User?

Not reliably. OpenAI says ChatGPT-User is for actions a user starts, and that robots.txt rules may not apply to it. For search opt-outs OpenAI points to OAI-SearchBot.

Conditions. Applies to user-started actions in ChatGPT and Custom GPTs.

Not known. OpenAI does not say in the page we read which other controls apply to ChatGPT-User.

Status. The cited source states this (read 2026-10-15). TopGEOClaim has not independently tested it for any site.

How long does a robots.txt change take to affect ChatGPT search?

OpenAI says about 24 hours after a robots.txt update for search results.

Conditions. This is OpenAI's stated time for search results, not a promise for a given site.

Not known. No time is given for training use.

Status. The cited source states this (read 2026-10-15). TopGEOClaim has not independently tested it for any site.

Can a site guarantee top placement in ChatGPT search, and what does it need to be included?

No site can guarantee top placement. OpenAI says ranking in ChatGPT search is based on a number of factors and there is no way to guarantee top placement. Separately, OpenAI says that to be included a site should allow OAI-SearchBot to crawl it and make sure its host or CDN allows OpenAI's published IP addresses.

Conditions. Both robots.txt and your host or CDN must allow the crawler. OpenAI describes this as needed for inclusion; its help page does not say it guarantees inclusion or any position.

Not known. OpenAI does not say how a site is chosen or ranked for a given answer.

Status. The cited source states this (read 2026-10-15). TopGEOClaim has not independently tested it for any site.

How do I keep a site out of Google's AI features?

Google's Search Console help page describes an Exclude choice in the Search generative AI control. Google's Search Central page describes older controls instead: robots.txt for Googlebot, and nosnippet, data-nosnippet, max-snippet or noindex. The two pages do not describe the same controls.

Conditions. Whether you see the Search Console setting depends on your access and rollout. noindex removes a page from Search entirely.

Not known. Google does not say in the pages we read how long both descriptions will stay on its site.

Status. The cited source states this (read 2026-10-15). TopGEOClaim has not independently tested it for any site.

Does Google's generative AI control stop AI training?

No. Google's Search Console page says the control does not affect AI training and points to Google-Extended for that.

Conditions. Applies to the Search generative AI control only.

Not known. We have not checked how Google-Extended is applied to any particular site.

Status. The cited source states this (read 2026-10-15). TopGEOClaim has not independently tested it for any site.

Where can I measure impressions in Google's AI features?

Google describes a generative AI performance report in Search Console, with impressions in AI Overviews and AI Mode. The Search Central page says sites appearing in AI features are included in the Performance report under the Web search type.

Conditions. The report may not appear if impressions are too low, the site is excluded or access is not yet given. Search Labs experiments are not included.

Not known. The reports give impressions only in the pages we read, so they do not show whether an answer named your business.

Status. The cited source states this (read 2026-10-15). TopGEOClaim has not independently tested it for any site.
